Do I need to provide photos before my appointment?

Modified on Thu, 1 Oct at 12:36 AM

For visible problems such as a rash, swelling, sore or bruising, a clear photograph may help the GP with your assessment. Where the platform allows this, you can securely upload photographs before your appointment. Only upload images requested for your clinical care and use the secure method provided by the service. Personal or intimate images, including photographs of genitalia or other intimate areas, will not be accepted and should not be uploaded. Any clinical photographs submitted through the secure platform are stored securely and managed in accordance with applicable medical record, information governance and data protection requirements. If an intimate examination is clinically required, the GP will advise you on the appropriate next steps.
